The
Main Lawn
has been host to many parties and BBQs. There is a seating area on the lawn and a tennis court which is all free to guests. Tennis rackets and balls are available as are water cannons so watch out parents!
The Lane Garden
that runs the length of the tennis court is adorned with perennial plants, fruit trees and roses. It is in bloom from March to October and attracts many birds and bees.
Bird song is ever present and particularly vibrant in the evening. The garden plays host to; Swifts, Swallows, House Martins, Doves, Wood Pigeons, Blackbirds, Sparrows, Tits, Wrens and occasionally a Pheasant, Woodpecker, Hobby and other birds of prey.
Sadly, the sheep no longer gather outside the north gate post shearing. Our neighbour's farm is now focused on cattle.
There isn't any light pollution so on a clear night there is an amazing view of the stars.
